About

About Our Program:

The KidWind Academy is designed to introduce the offshore wind industry to high school students & teachers from Gateway Communities across Massachusetts. The Academy will train educators to teach STEM- based curriculum that models and showcases careers in the offshore wind industry, while offering students a hands-on learning experience that promotes engagement with renewable energy through exciting activities.

These experiences will be enriched with field trips and guest speakers to help students to visualize their participation in the offshore wind industry as skilled professionals and leaders.

About The Massachusetts Maritime Academy:

Accommodations will be provided by the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA). MMA is a fully accredited, four-year, co-educational state university offering Bachelor and Master of Science degrees that are highly regarded in the worldwide maritime industry and beyond.
