Welcome to KidWind Offshore Wind Academy: a STEM learn and earn opportunity in Buzzards Bay, MA from July 21 to 26, 2024.

We are so glad you are interested in learning more about our summer program to get teachers and students started on the pathway to learning more about offshore wind through guest speakers, hands-on classroom activities and field trips.

Experiences may include guided tours of the facilities related to renewable energy at Mass Maritime, research labs in Woods Hole, a steel rolling facility in Middleboro, the Blade Testing Facility in Boston. These field trips will be supported by classroom learning, which will provide you with a foundational knowledge of wind energy, design and drafting principles, material sciences, and blade testing.
